RALEIGH, N.C. (June 19, 2007) – Cathy Wilson is the new executive producer at Red Truck Films, a leading commercial production company serving agencies in the Southeast. Most recently a vice president and senior producer at McKinney + Silver, Wilson has produced national campaigns for many high-profile clients.
“Cathy knows how to work with clients to make ideas come to life,” said Tom Waring, CEO of Trailblazer Studios, the parent company of Red Truck Films. “After nearly 13 years at McKinney, she’s seen it all in the advertising industry and continues to push the limits of new media and other emerging trends. Her creativity and vision will be of enormous value to our agency clients.” Wilson’s body of work includes live action, documentary, testimonial, special effects, animation and interactive spots. She has helped clients of all sizes and budgets connect with and appeal to their audiences. Her experience includes campaigns for Polaris, Sony, Qwest, Audi, NASDAQ and Travelocity. As Wilson takes on her new position at Red Truck, director Garye Costner, who has served as interim EP, will transition into a full-time role as director and DP. “Garye really stepped up to fill the EP post over the past year,” said Waring. “Now with Cathy coming on board, he can focus on what he loves best – being on location and behind the camera. Garye is one of our most in-demand directors, and it’s thrilling to have him dedicated to directing full time again.” Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Red Truck Films is a TV commercial production company representing directors from around the country to advertising agencies in the Southeast region and reaching into the Northeast and Midwest. Its diverse roster of directors features expertise in storytelling, lifestyle, food and tabletop, comedy, slice-of-life, image and documentary-style spots.
